Everything you need to know about customs
Are sex dolls legal to import and own in Australia? The simple answer is absolutely YES, with the exception of dolls that resemble a child. Please don’t ask us about such dolls because we DO NOT deal with them.
TPE dolls and silicone sex dolls are being produced and sold in booming quantities all over the world. So how does the customs process work? We will cover import tax for all of our local and international customers, whether pre-paid or post-paid.
For our Australian customers, when your doll touches down in the country, our shipping agents will request us to send them documentation of the dolls value so that we can pay the GST (tax) + other duties. That’s right, WE deal with customs, so you don’t have to worry about being contacted by them. We cover ALL import costs. It’s something worth asking when shopping around for a new sex doll. Online 3rd party market places may look cheaper initially but there
are definitely three major precautions to think about before buying.
a) Will the seller cover all of the costs associated with import?
b) Is the doll a genuine brand, or a cheap copy?
c) Is the doll marketed as an adult?
If buying directly from overseas, the seller is highly unlikely to be paying for the import taxes. If you were to make a purchase from an overseas supplier, customs will also contact you as the buyer to request documentation on the doll. They will request evidence of the transaction for tax purposes, and also request images of the doll to verify that the doll in question is portrayed as an “adult”. It’s worth noting that customs will take note of documentation of TPE dolls that measure below 140cm in height in determining the perceived age of a doll. All of our love dolls are depicted as adult and we do not sell anything under 140cm.
Having your doll held up at customs for documentation can be more hassle than what it’s worth. Sit back, relax and let us deal with the process for you!
